Steven C. Lockard – President and CEO

Steven Lockard joined TPI in 1999 to lead their growth strategy and has transformed the company from a recreational boat builder into a leading manufacturer of large-scale composite structures for the wind energy, military vehicle and transportation markets. Lockard has 24 years of experience building high-growth, technology related manufacturing companies. Prior to TPI, Lockard was Vice President of Satloc, a leading supplier of precision GPS equipment. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Marketing and a founding officer of ADFlex Solutions, a producer of flexible circuit based interconnect products for use in notebook computers and cellular phones. Lockard holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University and is the co-chair of the R&D committee for the American Wind Energy Association. TPI formed a joint venture in 2002 to manufacture wind turbine blades with Mitsubishi Power Systems under the name of VienTek. In 2007, TPI signed two long-term supply agreements to manufacture blades for GE Energy. TPI operates factories in Warren, Rhode Island; Springfield, Ohio; Juarez, Mexico; Taicang, China; and Newton, Iowa.

Wayne G. Monie – Chief Operating Officer

Wayne G. Monie joined TPI in 2002 and is responsible for the company’s manufacturing operations worldwide. Monie has implemented world-class manufacturing systems and standards throughout the company. Monie functions as Vice President of VienTek and has been responsible for the successful start-up and maturation of that operation. Monie was responsible for the formation of TPI China and its Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (WFOE) Tai Peng Composites. Monie played a critical role in securing the GE opportunities in China and Iowa and continues to create operational plans to support new growth prospects. Prior to joining TPI, Monie served as Vice President, Applications and Manufacturing at First Solar, LLC. Monie also served as Vice President, General Manager of Satloc, a supplier of GPS systems. Prior to Satloc, Monie was Operations Manager of Durel Corporation and a Division Manager of Rogers Corporation. While with Rogers, Monie had operational and general management responsibility for a maquiladora operation in Agua Prieta, Mexico over a period of 10 years. Monie’s other experience has included positions with Glen Mar Door Manufacturing Company, Sperry Flight Systems and General Motors. Monie holds a Master of Science degree from University of Dayton and a BSIE from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
